In a unexpected partnership that challenges conventional forecasts, the game developer has announced an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.

Strange Mission Disclosed

According to the official statement, "A mysterious encounter pulls characters Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh adventure, where rumors of forbidden rituals and terrifying transformations resonate through the shadows." The storyline presents a "unusually dressed woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a important location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her ally from a hidden group.

The adventure centers on "strange experiments and a monstrous enemy" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Locations and Metamorphoses

The teaser features the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The preview ends with a striking moment showing a character, probably the hostage, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Items and Bonus Content

Players who accomplish the mission will obtain an unique katana alongside multiple objects concealed throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also contains in-store Attack on Titan item packs, including:
