Ex- NFL Player Antonio Brown Files Not Guilty Response in Attempted Murder Trial

Ex- National Football League player Antonio Brown is heading to Miami to address an attempted murder charge connected with a incident that happened in May, with his counsel entering a innocent response on his behalf.

Jail documents in Essex County, New Jersey, show that Brown was discharged on Tuesday morning for his relocation to Florida. Brown, a highly popular figures in the National Football League, had forgone transfer to Florida from New Jersey, in which he was held after being taken into custody in the city of Dubai.

Brown’s lawyer, Mark Eiglarsh, mentioned in an email that he has already submitted a formal innocent plea to the attempted murder charge. Brown could be in a Miami courtroom as early as Wednesday early for a bond hearing, Eiglarsh said.

As per his arrest warrant, Brown is alleged of taking a pistol from a security guard after a celebrity boxing event in May and shooting two shots at a person he had clashed with before. The claimed target, Zul-Qarnain Kwame Nantambu, stated to police that a bullet scraped his nape.

Eiglarsh asserted that Brown was simply safeguarding himself from Nantambu.

“The actions he was forced to take were solely in defense against the claimed individual’s aggressive conduct. Brown was attacked that time and acted within his rightful right to safeguard himself,” Eiglarsh commented.

Brown was not immediately detained because originally police did not consider Nantambu as a target. It only later in May that Nantambu provided a complete statement about the event to police and pointed out Brown as the shooter, the document states.

From his social media content, Brown had been living in the city of Dubai for multiple weeks. In a update after the altercation, Brown said he was protecting himself because he was “attacked by several individuals who attempted to rob my possessions and bring bodily harm to me.”

A second-degree attempted murder charge in Florida bears a highest 15-year incarceration sentence and up to a $10,000 fine in the instance of a conviction.

Brown has faced multiple legal issues over the years. He previously had been charged of physical attack of a vehicle operator, various abuse charges, failure to pay parental support and additional occurrences.

Throughout a recent game with Tampa Bay against the opponents, Brown removed his shirt, shoulder pads and accessories and ran off the arena, leading to his termination by the franchise and effectively ending his football tenure.

Brown, who completed twelve years in the league, was an elite receiver who devoted the majority of his career with Pittsburgh. During his career, Brown had 928 grabs for above twelve thousand two hundred ninety-one distance, the 28th most of all time. He was a seven-time all-star choice.
